South Bank

Screenprint inspired by a walk I took through South Bank, London on a cloudy day. Referring to photos from this walk, I wanted to evoke a moment of calm immediately before a change in the weather. This project was a great opportunity to work with printmaking in a fast, intuitive way. I used newsprint stencils throughout, and made the stencil for each layer as I went along, reacting to the outcome of the previous layer.
